Let's Do Lunch

At the risk of sounding like a lady who "lunches", I have some great lunch places to share. It's easier for me to go out to lunch than dinner these days. I also think lunch is a great way to try a restaurant for less money to see if it's worth going for dinner.
I attended a very festive birthday party out at Veritas Vineyard. They treated us like queens, with a tour by Andrew (one of the owners) and then a tasting at our table.  We got  bagged lunches which included; a sandwich, chips, an apple, an israeli coucous salad, a bottle of water, a wine glass, and in that tiny box (see photo) was a truffle! Someone else brought beautiful cupcakes from Cappellino's.

I met a friend at the fairly new Pesto Mediterranean  out in crozet, which is right across from the brand new "green" Harris Teeter set to open this week! Pesto Med. doesn't have table service for lunch but, we had great veggie melts. I will definitely go back to try some of the greek specialties on the menu.

My new favorite thai/vietnamese  restaurant is
Lemongrass on the corner. It's clean with nice service and fantastic food. The owner is very cute and proud of his restaurant. Loved this lemongrass chicken with rice.

I've eaten at Aromas Cafe in Barracks Road a couple of times. The food is ok, but both times I ordered a salad  for lunch and it was not enough food. For me to leave hungry says a lot because I don't have a huge stomach.
